A fantastic opportunity is available for a skilled Planning Officer with our Development Services Department at the Shire of Dandaragan. The role is based at our Jurien Bay office where you are within walking distance from our stunning beach and foreshore development.
This is a full-time fixed term (12 months) opportunity with the potential to be extended. Applications from candidates wishing to work part time or remotely will also be considered. The successful candidate will support the assessment and processing of a diverse range of development applications as well as provide high level customer support for enquiries relating to zoning, subdivision and development/use of land.
This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a diverse and collaborative team culture, along with flexible working arrangements and generous employment conditions. The remuneration package for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation and benefits.

Job Description
Under the general direction of the Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator
The Pinnacles Desert Discovery and Gallery (PDD) is a self-funding business enterprise owned by the department, intended to offer an experience which enriches and enhances the visitors' appreciation and understanding of the natural values of the Nambung National Park (the park). All retail revenue is returned to the management of the PDD and visitor services in the park.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.
Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
